Students Drawing at the Botanic Gardens
The Art and Fashion students will be spending time on location around Dublin over the next few weeks. Our first day on location was spent in the glorious sunshine in the Botanic Gardens. This location provides lots of source material for drawing in the beautiful natural landscape and the impressive buildings.
Drawing in the Vegetable Garden
The students work in their notebooks and draw objects that relate to themes they have been exploring in the studio. They learn to assess the visual elements of their environment and record what they see through drawing. These drawings will be used as a source for other modules later in the year such as painting and combined materials.

Fashion Students settle into their Studio Spaces
In the first weeks of the Fashion and Art courses the students spend lots of time drawing objects of their choice and perfecting their drawing skills while learning about the Art Elements such as line, shape and tone and exploring the potential of composition. They also get settled into their assigned studio spaces and get to know their classmates and teachers.
