Students from the Art department have been tensely awaiting results of portfolio assessments from colleges around the country for several weeks now. It’s a difficult time for applicants as the results will determine (along with FETAC examinations) which colleges students will progress to in September 2013.
Result letters began arriving a few weeks ago and Coláiste Ide is delighted to congratulate students on their success in applications to The Limerick Institute of Technology and to The National College of Art and Design and to DIT.
Congratulations to all concerned and well done on the hard work put in by students and staff. Best of luck to all those still awaiting results from other colleges.
This course gives students over the age of 18 the possibility to be selected for a Leonardo Da Vinci European mobility exchange. Ten students from the Art& Fashion Department are travelling to Florence as part of this mobility project for three weeks work placement from the 19th March to the 6th April 2013. They will be busy working in the Accademia D’Arte
This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to work in this internationally recognised Art Academy that specialises in painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, fashion design, photography and digital media. The students will participate in three cultural trips, they will visit the famous Palazzo Pitti , The Uffizi Museum and other venues that involve art/fashion. We will keep you updated on our trip as it progresses.
